My stories are never perfect the first time I write them.
I get together with a critique group about once every
six weeks. Here, I'm on the left. Lorie Ann Grover (right),
Dia Calhoun, and Laura Kvasnosky are the other
members of the group. We all give each other suggestions we
hope will improve our stories, in the same way a teacher
offers suggestions to improve a student's writing.
In my author visits, I share my enthusiasm
for writing and offer suggestions that get authors--
young and old--thinking.
